E.ON Energie is in a partnership with Kinderschutz e.V., which assists children in need with many projects throughout Germany. Projects such as a crisis telephone for children or an animal farm that provides traumatised children and young people with therapeutic support through contact with animals are just some of the many forms of aid provided by Kinderschutz. The partnership with E.ON Energie has assumed a special character within this range of issues since 2007 in the shape of the Offenen Atelier am Hasenbergl. This organisation gives children and young people the chance to face up to problems pictorially through art - using the most varied techniques - and transforming them creatively under the supervision of two art and social education workers. We would like to present you an example of this cooperation below:

Building site fences are rarely aesthetic 'highlights'

But things look very different on the fence that currently encompasses the reconstruction of the Lenbachhaus City Gallery. Passersby in Richard-Wagner-Straße and visitors to E.ON Energie are encountering images of people that came into being through the imaginative artistic powers of children. Children and young people aged 5 to 17 from the Offenen Atelier am Hasenbergl in Munich have produced these portraits diligently since January 2010 to "breathe some life" into the large white space of the building site fence. In the meantime, all the views of people have been given. This means in an art auction, where other works by the young artists were also sold, those expressing an interest have taken over sponsorships for the colourful building site fence community, which can follow them home after about a year when the fence's design will be changed.
