nergy for the Future - Economical, Safe and Environmentally Friendly

Can power stations run without emitting carbon dioxide? How does one store energy? What role can energy from renewables play in the energy mix going forward? Can biogas be processed to match the quality of natural gas? E.ON intends to set standards in terms of both efficiency and profitability. But its efforts will not stop there. What drives us is our desire to innovate, with a view to capitalizing on options that are new and have been outside our reach so far.

New Technologies - Energy Supply for the Future

Supplying energy is a task that has both national and global implications. The growth of the world's population and the progressing industrialization of former emerging countries are making demand for energy skyrocket. Anyone involved in innovative activity is also responsible for conserving resources as much as possible, lowering emissions, and safeguarding supply.

We are aware of this responsibility and are working on developing new methods as well as implementing them in projects in a large number of areas in the field of energy supply. E.ON will take a targeted approach to engineering key technologies within the scope of the “innovate.on” initiative. This module showcases our major projects.

Efficiency improvements and CO2 savings are the magical formulas for the new generation of power plants.

The future of wind farms is off coastal areas. We plan to make additional investments in offshore wind farms.
