We introduced the E.ON competition initiative in order to live up to the promises we made to customers and policymakers, i.e. to actively promote competition by consistently implementing and sustainably pursuing a comprehensive program.

In the global competition for fuels, e.g. coal, oil or gas, Europe can only stand its ground if it stands united. This is why we support a clear Europeanization and orientation towards competition in our sector. It is essential that we be able to produce cheap energy in a secure and environmentally-friendly manner-not only today, but also in the days to come.

We are convinced that our measures are leading us in the right direction. They have the potential of becoming a driving force in efforts to promote competition in Germany and all of Europe.
